Petronas Twin Towers

The world's tallest twin skyscapers

Hanson Malaysia  was the exclusive ready-mix concrete supplier for this prestigious projec, building the Petronas Twin Towers, also named as KLCC Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. More than 160,000 cubic metres of high-strength grade 80 concrete were successfully produced and pumped for the sub and super structures of the building.

At that time, the twin towers' foundation was one of the largest continuous concrete pours in the region – a single pour of 12,000 cubic metres in less than 50 hours.

The port offers 14 berths on 5km quay. Hanson Malaysia  has been involved in the continuous development of PTP with 2 ready-mix concrete plants on site.

From these plants, we have supplied ready-mix concrete to several wharves and container yards in accordance to PTP’s special requirements.

Dual-three lane cable stayed bridge

This 1.85 km cable-stayed bridge crosses the Prai River and is part of the Butterworth Outer Ring Road in Penang. The bridge was awarded the prestigious Supreme Award for Transportation Structures by the Institute of Structural Engineers UK in 2006. 

For the bridge structure, Hanson Malaysia supplied a special mix that can withstand severe marine conditions.

At 244 m, the Maybank Tower was once the tallest bulding in Kuala Lumpur as well as in Malaysia and is half the height of the Petronas Twin Towers. 

The impressive twin blocks of the Maybank Complex in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur was a challenging project. The foundation required a single continuous ready-mix concrete pour of 13,500 cubic metres in 52 hours which was an innovation for the region.

The Tebrau Highway in Johor Bahru

Also known as Johor Bahru–Kota Tinggi Highway, this highway is the main thoroughfare carrying large traffic volumes to and from Singapore.

Hanson Malaysia supplied and laid high performance stone mastic asphalt for the six lane Tebrau Highway in Johore. The unique heavy traffic asphalt specification adopted for this project has the benefit of improved skid resistance, noise reduction, stability and surface texture.

Penang Bridge. 12.5 km long dual carriageway bridge in the state of Penang, Malaysia. The bridge connects Perai on the mainland side of the state with Gelugor on the island, crossing the Penang Strait. It is the second-longest bridge in Malaysia.
